How To Transition Into Lush Autumn Skin

When we recognise Autumn as a season of shedding layers and releasing all that is no longer needed, we can see how relevant this time is for renewing our skin. With the change in weather approaching, it’s an important time to switch up your skincare ritual to deeply restore your skin from the effects of the summer sun and hydrate in preparation for the cold.
 
The Effects of Summer & Vitamin D
Exposure to sunshine plays a role in vibrant health, it’s how we synthesise Vitamin D, which we need in order to regulate calcium in our body, ensuring optimal bone and teeth health. 

However, overexposure to sun rays can result in free radical damage and premature ageing. Our skin can show increased signs of dehydration, pigmentation and redness, so it serves us to look at our best gifts from nature to help us restore balance within our skin.
 
Autumn Skincare Ritual

Step 1 - AM/PM Cleansing



Throughout this transition season, we recommend switching up your cleanser to suit the time of day. The  
Purifying Gel Cleanser is perfect for the morning as it freshly cleans and hydrates your skin ready for the day ahead.


In the evening, we recommend using the  
Radiance Cream Cleanser to gently remove impurities, environmental pollution and makeup. Both cleansers will leave your skin smooth, soft and clarified.

Tip: If your skin is very oily, you may prefer to stay with the Gel Cleanser twice daily, and if your skin is intensely dry, you may choose to stay with the Cream Cleanser twice daily. 

 
Step 2 - Exfoliate 



To ensure your skin is ready to effectively absorb your daily products, it’s important to exfoliate 1-2 times a week. Our  Refining Face Polish is a triple-action face exfoliant:

Action 1
The AHA rich Lilly Pilly and gentle fruit acids dissolve dull surface build-up.

Eco-friendly Jojoba beads refine the skin, revealing a soft, smooth, luminous complexion.

Step 3 - Treat


The  
Kakadu Brightening Serum is the hydration boost that your summer skin needs in order to repair. The vitamin C intensive formula will renew the skin and target the appearance of hyper-pigmentation, sunspots, blemishes and uneven skin tone. 
 
 
Step 4 - Moisturise


As the cooler months approach, it’s time to switch out your light moisturiser and move to a more nourishing moisturiser that locks moisture in. Applying the  
Ultra Rich Moisturiser morning & evening will nurture and protect your skin, ready for the drier air in the lead up to winter.
